Ethical research principles

All of our research projects are approved by the Ethical Review Authority (formerly the Regional Ethical Review Board in Stockholm - Regionala etikprövningsnämnden, EPN).

Participation in one of our research projects is in accordance with the following regulations:

  • Participation is voluntary and the participants can terminate the study at any time.
  • Personal data shall neither be used for commercial purposes, nor for non-scientific purposes. Personal data and other data are handled in accordance with applicable laws for personal data managemant and data storage.
  • Participation does not have any negative consequences on the possibility to get other care.
  • The results of the research are handled under confidentiality and no outside party knows who has taken part, or can see any results or responses. The responses will be collated in a depersonalized form and are presented so that individual person's responses cannot be traced.
